Safety Guidelines
Your safety and the protection of marine environments are our top priorities in every operation.
1. Operational Safety Zones
During all drone cleaning operations, a safety zone of 15 meters (50 feet) around the active cleaning area is established. All personnel, swimmers, and small watercraft must remain outside this zone. Visual markers and signage are deployed to clearly delineate the safety perimeter.
2. Pre-Operation Checklist
Before every deployment, our team conducts a comprehensive pre-operation assessment:
- Weather and sea state evaluation (operations suspended in conditions above Sea State 3)
- Water visibility check (minimum 1 meter required)
- Equipment integrity and battery status verification
- Communication systems check
- Emergency response equipment verification
- Notification of marina/port authorities as required
3. Drone Emergency Protocols
All our drones are equipped with multiple failsafe systems:
- Auto-Surface: Drones automatically surface if communication is lost for more than 30 seconds
- Collision Avoidance: 360° proximity sensors prevent contact with divers, marine life, or unexpected obstacles
- Emergency Kill Switch: Operators can instantly halt all drone operations from the control station
- Battery Safety: Automatic return-to-base when battery levels reach 15%
4. Environmental Safety
Our operations are designed to minimize environmental impact:
- Closed-loop filtration captures 99.7% of all removed material
- No chemical agents are used during cleaning operations
- Collected debris is properly disposed of at certified waste facilities
- Operations are paused if protected marine species are detected in the vicinity
- All operations comply with the Clean Water Act and relevant state regulations
5. Client Responsibilities
To ensure safe operations, clients are asked to:
- Provide accurate information about vessel materials and coatings
- Disclose any known hazards (fuel leaks, structural damage, electrical issues)
- Ensure the vessel or structure is secured and engines are off during cleaning
- Keep all personnel clear of the designated safety zone
- Inform us of any scheduled activities nearby during the cleaning window
6. Operator Certifications
All pebbiclicksprint.quest operators hold current certifications in:
- ROV/Drone Operations (Level II or higher)
- Marine Safety and First Aid
- Environmental Compliance (EPA standards)
- OSHA Maritime Safety
